The Client

Gary invented ColorShells – a patented hair coloring tool for salon professionals. After 10+ years in business and recent retirement, his sales had dropped and he needed help bringing his brand online.

The Problem

The existing website was outdated with a 2015 aesthetic, inconsistent product photography, and no e-commerce functionality. More importantly, the site didn’t clearly communicate what made ColorShells special: the crystal-clear design that lets stylists monitor color processing in real-time.

Brand Refresh

Refined the logo for better versatility across platforms
Created cohesive product photography using AI tools with brand-consistent gradient backgrounds
Developed a modern purple/gold color palette that feels premium but approachable

Website Redesign

Built a clean, conversion-focused shop page with WooCommerce
Set up email marketing automation (MailPoet) with welcome sequences and promotional campaigns
Streamlined the contact form and payment processing

Ongoing Marketing

Managing Instagram and Facebook accounts
Creating educational content that teaches proper product usage
AI-assisted content workflow for efficient monthly posting

The Result

Gary’s getting online sales and newsletter signups. More importantly, he has a website he’s proud to share and a marketing system he can actually manage himself.
